Fully rigged and textured model of my own character, NIN-SEI. Model in Blender, textures in Photoshop. This character is meant to be a sort of mascot, so I tried to give him an appealing and recognizable design.
2.726 faces, 5.348 tris.
Finished render. Tried to go for a kind of carefree pose.
My initial drawing of the character. I tried to make him look cute yet cool by making him consist mainly of round shapes with more angular details in the cyan fur. I also struck a balance between neon and pastel for the colors.
My references. No colors used as I find them distracting.
Wireframe front.
Wireframe side.
Wireframe back. Edgeflow on the torso looks a little weird here but it hasn't shown to be problematic during animation.
The two main textures used. Unwrap is messy, but that doesn't matter since the textures just have to loop.
The eyes texture over the UV unwrap. Eyes are a separate object parented to the head bone that functions as a sort of ''sticker''. Object duplicated from the head's mesh.
